I see the yanks at 91.5 and the sox at 95.5. Sox at 95.5 seems like easy money to be honest.
While looking this up...I saw you can bet on Spring Training baseball games...jesus you need gamblers anonymous if you put a dime on ST baseball.
i will admit to placing wagers on pre-season football games BUT i agree that pre-season baseball is just too much.
in fact, much like the nba and nhl, regular season baseball games are not for gambling

The Sox won that many last season, added two huge bats, fixed the bullpen to the point that it could be lights out with Wheeler and Jenks joining Bard and Paps in a contract year. Plus, it is an odd year, so Beckett and Lackey are due to pitch well.

The Sox are certainly the odds-on favorits to win the AL East, but how many teams have ever won "well over" 100 games? I'd say 105 is "well over," so that's 21 total. Whereas the Phillies can feast on numerous shitty divisional opponents, the Sox play too many games against very good competition. I thnk the O's will be good enough to keep the Sox under 103.

Fair point. Assuming no injuries of any length, I mean 110 wins. Assuming the inevitable minor injuries, they'll be in the 98-105 range. If they get a real bad couple of injuries, then you are looking at 90-95 (like last season).

Agreed on all counts. The Sox lineup is powerful enough that even one terrible injury to a position player (season ending for a 3-6 hitter) won't derail them significantly. Lester is the most indispensible player on the team, because its a certainty that if he's healthy he'll win 2/3 of his starts (and his stats will be great too, ok sabr-ers?). Lose him and things are truly uncertain.

Now you are talking my lingo. This is easy money along with 15-1 odds to win the pennant. With Peavy coming back soon, the real Sox will start to roll. You can put it on the board...yes!
