To be clear, I'm questioning the rationale behind scheduling an exhibition game when the football team is playing one of the best teams in the country. Or why they schedule regular-season games on Sunday afternoons when the Pats are playing (or a Thursday night game when the Pats are on, as will happen this year), or Tuesday night games vs. non-conference opponents. Why purposely play in front of a near-empty house?
I know BC's gotta BC, but why do that to your fans and your players? And for an athletics program and school that's been fixated on the bottom line forever, why purposely cut revenue when you still have fixed costs (in the case of regular season games)?
