claver2010 {l Wrote}:no question they'll be the underdog but honestly didn't see them winning at all this weekend, especially after dropping friday night
they're the late game (which has been moved up to 7:30 and the earlier game is now 4:00 for some reason), interesting would assume BU / NU would be the bigger draw + give the benefit to UMass since they're the #1 seed
Hockey East is investigating a potential racist incident that occurred during last weekend’s Providence-Boston College quarterfinal series.
According to CHN sources, the remark was directed towards Providence's Vimal Sukumaran during Friday's game between the two teams. Game officials heard the incident and reported it to the league, though the specifics remain under investigation.
Hockey East commissioner Joe Bertagna said the issue has his full attention.
“I’ve spent more time on this since Saturday night than anything else,” Bertagna said, noting the league is still gathering information from all involved parties.
Per protocol, Hockey East is currently conducting interviews about the incident. Bertagna said the process has been slowed down because there is no audio of what happened.
Hockey East was unable to provide specifics due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
While there’s no requirement to announce supplemental discipline, Bertagna said that typically the conference announces supplemental discipline because those incidents, which are usually physical occurrences on the ice, are seen by the public.
Boston College won the series 2 games to 1 and will play in Friday night’s Hockey East semifinal. The Eagles must win the tournament to receive an NCAA bid. Providence still has a chance at an at-large bid.
Los {l Wrote}:Team waiting for the postseason to finally play up to its potential. That was a gritty ass win that they ground out. You can see they’re playing with a chip on their shoulder.
