Strangely enough, Vinny Circui did not issue a statement congratulating Orpik.

Not an alum, but jackass guinea Sonny Milano was arrested last night for violently assaulting some guy over a nightclub bill in Manhattan last night. He was arrested alongside BU douchebag AJ Greer. I hope they both got raped in the Tombs.

He went to Europe after the Rangers sent him to Hartford a few years ago. Made some money for two years and came back and signed a two-way deal with Columbus last year—had one call up last season for a week or so. Was named captain of the AHL affiliate at the beginning of the year and had a nice start to the season. Apparently was called up a couple months ago and has 5 goals and 5 assists in 25 games. Got to give him a lot of credit, 5’4” guy (2nd shortest to ever play in the NHL) and by the end of this year he’ll have 450-460 NHL games under his belt and 160 or so points.

Cotton and his brother both signed with Carolina yesterday. I thought Jason was younger, but he's 25.

Demko getting the playoff start tonight looking to stave off elimination for the Canucks. Through two periods he has been brilliant and the Canucks lead the Golden Knights 2-1.

And Demko finishes as the 1st star of the game, 43 saves in a 2-1 win to keep the Canucks alive down 3-2 in the series. Pretty, pretty, pretty good playoff debut.

Tuch's been a beast for Vegas as well. Shitty regular season and a step back from the prior two years but 7 goals in the playoffs so far.

Agreed. He abused Vancouver’s defense last night around the crease. They didn’t have an answer, but Demko made a couple of nice stops and Tuch missed the net once or twice. He had one play where he basically walked the puck out from behind the net, stuck one defensemen in his hip pocket and shoved the other one out of the way as he forced his way into the slot, as he spun and shot one of the forwards crashed down and got a piece of his stick while the other got away with a hook, which caused the puck to flutter and knuckle. Demko ate it up—no rebound—which was fortunate because there were two Golden Knights standing alone in front of him because both defense and two forwards were piled on top of Tuch.

Demko once again standing on his head and keeping his team in the game. Canucks getting out shot 15-3 through the first 30 minutes but tied 0-0. Since taking over down 3 games to 1, Demko has stopped 105 of the 106 shots he has faced and has now shut out Vegas for 120 minutes. Win or lose, he is the only reason this has gone 7 games.

And Tuch sends Game 3 to OT with another goal. According to TSN he is a leading candidate for the Conn Smythe should he continue at this pace and Vegas makes the finals.

Brutal night for Dumoulin last night, got caught in deep on the Islanders first goal and turned it over against the boards leading to the Islanders second goal. In fairness, he got caught deep because Letang did something stupid and he turned it over because apparently Jarry and Letang failed to tell him he had and Islander bearing down on him, but Dumoulin is the only defensively responsible player the Pens have, so the mistakes are glaring on the rare occasions they happen.

He is on indefinite leave of absence from the league. Could speculate on what that means being in the league's assistance program.
His being from Darien I would speculate that he just prefers the long island sound over the atlantic ocean in Miami.
