Well, it is a highlight video - they probably edited out a few misses. :chewbanka

But seriously, that is a really impressive highlight video.

My favorite part is at about the 1:05 mark. He makes a 3 with a hand in his face, but watch the kid defending him after he makes it. The kid is totally dejected - it looks like arcidiacono has been abusing him all day.

The kid can shoot. It's impressive how many nothing but nets are in these videos. Hopefully his weekend visit is a good one.

I like the strategy here. I just hope some of the recruits value BC's early commitment in them when they make their college decisions (and we are at least in the discussion.)

Looking at that video, I have to suspect that, if it weren't for the attitude issue, Arcidiacono would be rated the #1 PG in his class; I mean, how much better does it get?

Anyone know how Arcidiacono's visit went on Saturday? I hope he didn't go to the football game as the fan's funneled out during the 3rd quarter.

Also, didn't see him at the Scrimmage before the football game.

Yes, Jags' 2006 qb recruiting is to blame once again.

Alex Murphy has narrowed his list to seven. The Eagles are still in it.

Ryan Boatright decommitted from West Virginia.

I hope we at least give him a call even though it looks like he may go UConn or Oklahoma

That list is a who's who of college basketball. And then us. Biggest coup ever for BC if we pull this off, and it would probably have a ripple effect on other big-time recruits if they saw he was coming here. Could change the face of BC recruiting.

Sad that it has come down to praying for the son of a former BC player to come to his legacy school though.

Apparently, (this is what some posters here have been saying as well as people elsewhere) his Dad is still really close to BC but hated Skinner and thus Alex's older brother wasn't encouraged to come here. Hopefully Jay likes the Don.

Derrick Wilson sighting from ESPN:

Derrick Wilson (Anchorage, Ala./Hotchkiss School), a 6-foot-1 guard, will take his first official visit this weekend when he travels to Marquette according to Hotchkiss coach Fred Benjamin.

"The thing with Derrick is that he is college-ready," said Benjamin. "So he will have to look to see what's a good fit personality wise but also where he can come in and make an immediate impact."

Wilson is one half of a lethal backcourt tandem at the Hotchkiss School with junior guard Clyde Smith, who is also generating interest from the highest levels.

Smith will take an unofficial visit to Notre Dame early in November and is in the process of scheduling a trip to Northwestern as well a trip to see Boston College and Boston University.

"Clyde has been to Stanford twice for elite camps so he needs some other looks for his frame of reference," Benjamin said.

While Wilson and Smith return to lead the way for Hotchkiss, they have also added a trio of talented newcomers in Mike Tobey, Makhai Mason, and Christopher Campbell. Tobey is a near seven-footer who planned on repeating his sophomore year, but after scoring scholarship offers from Virginia, Pittsburgh, Miami, Xavier, Maryland, and Northwestern in the last six weeks, the big man has now decided to remain in the Class of 2012.

While it remains to be seen how that decision will impact those offers, Benjamin says his new big man has a world of potential.

"He's 6-11 and still growing," he said. "He just turned 16 in October and coaches see the tremendous upside with great hands, great touch, and work ethic."

Campbell is a skilled 6-6 sophomore four-man who has generated interest from Virginia Tech and Rutgers while Mason is a freshman guard who has had interest from Stanford, Minnesota, Notre Dame and Northwestern, according to Benjamin.

Looks like Clyde Smith will be visiting us. Here's his info on ESPN:

Looks like Hotchkiss is a good basketball school. Getting Wilson or Smith would be a nice way of establishing a pipeline there. The Don created an unlikely CA pipeline, so who knows.

And a pretty good video:

Looks like he's pretty quick with a really nice handle.
