Ridiculous.

I was going to post before asking when the last time was that we started a season without anyone suspended. I decided to back off and not kick off the season so negatively.

How many years in a row has someone been suspended for the opener? This is getting pretty fucking ridiculous.

Guy on a different message board says that he saw all 3 of them out in Cleveland Circle the night before the St. Mark's exhibition game. Curfew issue perhaps?

Perhaps the age-old "non-sanctioned pickup game"?

Jesus here we go again. I would hope we can still beat an Ivy League team even with 7 scholarship players but I have my doubts. Welcome aboard Dallas Emlore you'll now be playing 30 minutes tonight.

Last year we lost to an Ivy League team at home with this year's full roster AND Tyrese Rice. This is going to be interesting.

You can kiss this season good-bye if we lose to Dartmouth in the opener even without those guys. On the other hand, this is extremely encouraging.

2. Princeton 96

Someone on the premium board is reporting that they're out for 2 games. Any truth of the rumor or anyone found out any more about the situation?

One of my contacts is suspended tonight so I won't be able to carry a conversation with him while the game is going on, only at BC.

Yes, they are all out for 2 games. Tonight and Tuesday. Not sure of the reason.

Jeff Goodman of WEEI.com and FoxSports.com has learned that three Boston College Men’s Basketball Players have been suspended for the first two games of the season: tonight’s season opener at home against Dartmouth, and Tuesday’s home game against St. Francis (NY). Junior guard/forward Rakim Sanders, junior forward Corey Raji and junior forward Cortney Dunn are all out for tonight’s game. The cause of the suspensions is not yet known. The suspensions leave BC with seven scholarship players.

I will reserve judgement until we hear what the suspension is for (if we ever hear), but it doesn't sound like it was for playing in a non-sanctioned game since one report said it was a volation of TEAM rules.

OJ seems unhappy already. How would you like to blame Al Skinner for this incident?

Like I said, I will reserve judgement until we hear what the suspensions are for. What did I say that was any more negative than any other post in this thread? Are you "happy" about this? Keep the OJ stuff coming....its very original and I guess this board doesn't allow for anything but positive comments or else you are OJ.

I actually don't think you're OJ. I have plenty of complaints about Al Skinner and if he does a shitty job this year I'll be one of the most vocal.

I doubt Skinner would give them two games for curfew on an exhibition game.

We're all thinking it: :seanwilliams

Well there was this from ATL:

I was told from unnamed folks that this is not a big deal or a sign of a bigger problem. It is more BC being BC.

So if true, hopefully it's just some school thing they need to get straightened out or an Al thing. I think :seanwilliams usually merits a longer suspension than just two games.

I don't like the fact that Sanders, Raji and Dunn are going into the Paradise Jam cold, without a game under their belts. The PJ is an opportunity to really do some damage and turn some heads on a national level. Dartmouth and St Francis would have been good primers to get the rust off.
