Grant has shown me that he is a good coach who is implementing a scheme that BC can actually be successful at (defense and rebounding are skills that are under-recruited). The offense is an afterthought. Whether he can parlay some modicum of relative success into a few recruits who can put the ball in the basket will be seen. He's kinda following the Skinner playbook in that sense. But, that pivot from playing tough to landing TBell, Craig, Duds and a dozen other players like Rice and Marshall is extremely difficult.

Let's put this Earl Grant year in perspective. He has won 7 ACC conference games (with a team that was generally considered the least talented in the ACC and possibly the Power 5). Jim Christian never won more in a season (had 7 twice). Donahue's first season hit 9 conference wins but then immediately fell off (with 4, 7 and 4 wins). So one more win gives BC the most conference wins since the 2010-11 season.

i think freak1 was just a hockey weirdo and, like hansen, didn't care if the players had innies or outies.

he was also the originator of skanque threads. not the polls, that was all me, but freak1 built a central repository for skanques that are scantily clad on the old tcs site.

I agree with this. Keep building a physical, defense first team and hope the O will catch up as talent improves. And just play a lot of iso ball with whoever is your best scorer.

Grant deserves credit. Still don't give a fuck.
