2. I am not afraid of finding a replacement that is his equal or better.
The biggest concerns for the next five years are hiring a new FB coach, securing a better practice facility for football and getting the baseball stadium built. I don't think Gene cares about the practice facility or the baseball field so any AD would be an improvement. I think Gene cares a lot about the next football coach. However, I don't think finding a new football coach will be hard. With each search we've had plenty of reasonable candidates.
The bigger long term issues are the next round of conference shuffling, paying players and ensuring hockey stability beyond York. But I don't think any of those will be issues for the next five years.

ATLeagle {l Wrote}:I would trade two more years of Spaz for the chance that someone other than Gene makes the next hire. As much as I would love to see a sudden Spaz "retirement" I don't trust Gene at this point to pick the right guy.

Some called me the other day asking why I didn't renew my ticket sales despite numerous deadlines passing... i have only a pair of tickets so if they are hounding me things must be really bad.

Hansen's story is familiar. I haven't heard anything specific from the ticket office. I know that all the blame is being pointed at the schedule, the economy, and HD TV computer screens. No one blames the product on the field, the face of the program or the game day experience.
