After all of that, the OT difference was Griffin dropping a ball that hit both of his hands versus the NIU back making a one handed catch on a poor pass.

Castellanos takes the job, makes me interested, gets you to OT and you give it to Garwo twice. Terrible.

Oh, and catch the fucking ball.

Hafley lost this game in the 1st half punting from NIUs 38 and 40. Fucking pathetic

Just leave Morehead in. Castellanos can’t throw at all

I texted some people saying I like our chances in overtime because of Castellanos. Short field comes down to play makers and then we proceed to not keep the ball in his hands to make plays onn the OT drive. I’m fine with the first handoff to Garwo but either second or third down has to be QB keeper. He’s out there doing Tyler Murphy level PlayStation moves and we don’t take advantage.

On defense, should have called TO to setup the defense on the 1 yard line. They weren’t ready and NIU scores the game winner.

I think BC used it on first down at the beginning of the NIU possession.

Sorry I missed that. I started drinking heavily once BC went down 2 scores

No one in the DB knows what they're doing. Castellanos definitely showed sparks and should have started from the beginning. But I suspect more of that was playing what I think will be a bad even by MAC standards NIU team.

My biggest fear is that the schedule is so weak that this team miraculously gets to 5 wins and no one has the authority to fire Hafley.

It’s not that weak. We got zero pressure on the QB all day. None. The LBs were slow.

I’ve always believed this program could be really good with even a decent coach. But we haven’t had a decent coach in almost 20 years.

That's not true. We just need a new coach. Hafley isn't HC material.

Holy Cross game is in doubt. Things haven't been this bad since the 1970s. Hafely should have been fired after Rutgers last year, but wasn't. After Yucon, who cares?

We will win our super bowl next week and all will be forgiven with Hafley. Look for us to empty cupboard. :ace

Morehead basically didn’t play. We really excited about a QB that just led the team to a home loss to NIU? Aside from being fast he makes bad decisions and is inaccurate.

The coaching blows as do the entire WR/TE group. Bet we dropped 10+ passes.

If we’re going to play Casellanos, run an offense that actually fits his skillet

I rarely say this (and Teddy may re-evaluate in a moment) but he is correct. Moorehead was epic level bad. They gave him two complete series and could do shit in either one.

I agree that they need an offense that fits Casellanos. But either way, nothing fits Moorehead.

Pulling the plug so quickly is probably the only thing Hafley did right today. If you can excuse the fact that Hafley picked this guy as our QB1 in the first place.

For all the ‘talent’ we were told the pass catchers have, none of them can catch

Tackas looks shot and can walk back to south bend
