side note here about the use of the old block logo in the game notes - they really need to get more gear (caps, shirts) with that logo on it.
As far as the game, does anyone really have a clue about first week FB games anymore, with all the portal moves? I'm getting a free trial of Fubo to watch the game. If Hafley's crew suck, I'll cacth the other games on radio.

It’s been a long time since I have felt so little interest in the opening game of the football season. Between the long term decline/implosion of our athletic program in general and football program in particular, coupled with the continuing efforts of the school administration to alienate alumni with its new “diversity” targets for admissions and the student body (with the implication that the alums who elevated the school from a financially unstable commuter school to a highly ranked national university over the past two generations are not the sort that the school wants going forward) has made me indifferent if not yet hostile. I want Greg Brown to do well because I have been told by a wide variety of people that he is a good guy, but can’t muster much for Hafley or Grant. In some respects my fall will be more productive if we lose to DeKalb Community College, as I will be able to read instead of being glued to ESPN+ or YouTube streaming watching the Eagles go for perfect mediocrity while stuck at an interminable travel sports tournament for one of my progeny (at least my oldest’s football games are played on Friday Nights and do not interfere with my weekends.

20 games ago, we're 4-0 heading to death valley with our backup qb and take them down to the wire. starting with that game 4-15 against fbs competition.

believe it when i see it with hafley at this stage.

NC State saved BC from the AAC and they sure don't look like they deserve it. The 4th quarter of the Rutgers game showed us the Hafley ship was taking on some water and this shit's been at the bottom of the ocean since the UConn game. What would this game be? Divers locating the wreckage?

I was just about to remark that we never generate any turnovers.....Love Neto Okpala. Need more of him.

by the way, I hope our next BC coach brings back old school fullbacks. You can have very good offense AND have a fullback that goes and smacks people in the face every once in a while

Castellanos with a nice progression read right there. Hopefully the D wakes up after that turnover.

I don’t understand the constant switching of QBs. Neither one can get a rythym. It’s like Hafley is purposely sabotaging the offense.

we're being pushed around by Northern Illinois. Not a surprise given where we've been heading for the last three years, but still a sure sign that Hafley is not a head coach

Surprised that the officials are incentivized to keep the ball out of BC's hands at home with a chance to tie the game. If it were a more evenly officiated game it would be a better one, but it also feels like shit to have to rely on a well-officiated game at home vs NIU

Now 20 years ago we’d still make these boneheaded mistakes but he opponent would be a conference opponent, not NIU.
