hearing that from an offensive player would make sense given it is week 1, with a complete coaching overhaul. But for the defense with all the same coaches, not good.

Meh. We lost a home game against Rutgers. The results speak for themselves. The coaching staff failed. Full stop.

Seeing these videos and comments leaves open the optimistic possibility that it was simply a coaching issue and not a talent issued. The former can be fixed in one week, the latter can't be fixed midseason. We may be underwhelmed with folks like McNulty, but they are all career assistants who have seen enough that they should know how to adjust enough that it isn't a complete trainwreck.

Watching the replay:
- until the last drive, the OL pass blocking was not great but not terrible;
- Jurk was bad but on the 2nd pick, Z ran a lazy route;
- this loss was on the coaching, esp the OC
