Didn’t have nearly as much of an issue with Googs as I did McNulty. From the very start, it was clear that the OL had a talent/development issue that wasn’t solvable through harder coaching. However, McNulty seemingly did nothing to adjust the offense to anything that didn’t require elite OLine protection. Further, McNulty was reviled by Rutgers fans when he was (twice) their OC. I never understood why we would want him other than Notre Dame’s Little Brother Syndrome.
Anyhoo… will be interesting to see if Hafley’s backup plans are anything more nuanced beyond Chud and Applebaum.

my guess is it'll be snee, makes sense but would want something more certain for most important position coach in y3.
easy answer is the yukon OC, 2011 BC grad (jfc) that was GA under daz

As long as we're not bringing aboard the Uconn OC as the OC these are both good options.

Hired an assistant special teams coach, Matt Moran, who previously coached at Stanford.

Always good to get a lifeline from a sinking ship
That said, I haven’t been much impressed by the defense anyway.
This is likely to be Hafley’s last year. So hopefully we’ll have some better coordinators in 2024

I’ve been very unimpressed with Hafley so far but it’s not going to take much for him to keep his job. 7 wins or more and he likely stays. Next year’s schedule is a cakewalk and 8+ wins should be easy with a good coach.

Is that a step up? Especially since he has already been an NFL position coach.

Seems like just a jump off the sinking ship and getting back into the NFL.
Definitely not a step up.

What have you seen that makes you think Haf can win more than 6 games?
We lost to UConn 13-3

You’re not wrong. As much as this board likes to hate on Addazio (who was rightfully fired) Hafley might actually be a downgrade. Addazio gets 7 wins easy with this roster and next year’s schedule. We’ll see. I’d love for Hafley to prove the skeptics wrong and actually get a 10-2 season.

Spring practice starts March 3rd.
Imagine an OC/DC has to be announced this week?

I have to think Lukabu's move is a signal to sell. Wouldn't Azaar be elevated to DC? Is there any chance we won't see Chudzinski as OC with Shimko as his #2 and heir apparent?

Wow. They are so bad that BC is embarrassed to acknowledge they hired them?
