A lot of stupid negativity in this thread. We played super vanilla in this game so future opponents couldn't get good tape on us. Grosel prob didn't take many snaps with the 1s which hurts any performance. Pre-snap penalties were bad but it's only 1 game and Hafley has made it clear that those will get cleaned up. Grosel didn't play awful considering. I only thought he really only had 2 bad plays... the missed TD in the end zone was the worst went he sailed it over the receivers head and there was another pass to the right side where the guy was open and Dennis just missed him otherwise I thought he played well enough to beat most ACC teams. Also, the OL looked good yesterday opening some massive holes for Garwo & co. to run through. Also, thought Garwo looked solid, nice agility and vision, but maybe lacking speed once breaking into the next level.

it's only the second week and I'm sure this team will only improve as the season goes on.

The negativity is very stupid. So BC only beat a shit team by 3 scores? BFD. That is no reason to bitch. Imagine how you'd feel right now if you were a Florida State or an Ohio State fan?

It’s particularly bad because the offense was going to be 80% passing. If only we had someone who would have prepped this team to crack the rock.

More than half of those big plays came off of offensive/special teams incompetence or miscues/turnovers. They left the defense in a bad spot to defend. That said, we all know the defense is just not there. They just aren't. BC was not going to lose this game, but their defensive liabilities allowed the game to look much closer than it was. In reality, it wasn't that close.

This offense BC has can score points, lots of them. The offensive line manhandles people and they have so many receiving weapons. They could have scored 60 on UMass and could have scored 60 on Colgate. Without Jurk, the offense should still outscore Temple by anywhere from 14 to 21 points. With Jurk, outscoring the Owls by 35 points or more may not be that much to ask. But we need to start seeing some improvement on the defense.
