It appears that this year's transfer portal class for CB's has been a seller's market. Duce Chestnut was able to move from Syracuse to LSU very quickly. Fentrell Cypress was able to move from Virginia to FSU very quickly w/ a ton of interest. Terry Roberts moved from Iowa to Miami, FL. So the level of interest may have found it's way into DeBerry's camp, and he may have thought that he would likely find a home he was happy with. Ohio State, UCLA, West Virginia, Michigan State, Baylor and Florida are among the programs that have pursued some of the top CB's in the portal, and have come up empty.

This makes a lot of sense to explain post-hoc why DeBerry would wait so late to decide on what he'll do.

I believe he's from Michigan so my guess is Michigan or Michigan State is where he ends up.

I believe he's from Michigan so my guess is Michigan or Michigan State is where he ends up.

In fairness to him the entire OL was hurt by the end of the year, but it looked absolutely terribly in Week 1 when a majority of it was healthy.

In 2021 he did... I misread the year on his bio. :facepalm

Henderson should have been offered another year. He played 172 snaps last year. PFF gave him a 64.3 rating at Def Tackle, and in the ACC that's an average rating. He would have been our third highest ranked returning DT after Horsley and K Williams.

I saw some video and stats on the former NC AT&T RB Bhayshul Tuten that committed then de-committed from BC. Wow! I think Va Tech got a good one. He would have made a difference for us.

That RBC team he and Lubischer were on that won the state championship was allegedly the best RBC team ever, but both guys we got were the very definition of marginal players. Was hoping for Quentin Nelson and we instead got a couple of Alice Nelsons. Would have been better off taking a couple of losers from the ISL—would have been the same result, but considerably less disappointing.
