Someone has to explain to me how beating Clemson every year to get into the championship game is somehow easier than being the 2nd best team in the field. IMO this setup is much more beneficial to us sneaking into an ACCCG anytime soon.

A divisional champ determines their ability to play in the ACCCG through head-to-head and playing the same opponents. The lack of divisions can introduce schedule discrepancies. However, using conference winning percentage (as opposed to Rankings), allows for some normalization (and removes concerns over OOC scheduling). But, there will have to be tie-breakers, and those tie-breakers will undoubtedly fall against small programs like BC.
Here is our schedule for each year of the 3-5-5 experiment:
2023 ACC Football Schedule
Home – Florida State, Miami, Virginia, Virginia Tech;
Away – Georgia Tech, Louisville, Pitt, Syracuse
2024 ACC Football Schedule
Home – Clemson, Pitt, Syracuse, Wake Forest;
Away – Duke, Florida State, Miami, North Carolina
2025 ACC Football Schedule
Home – Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, NC State;
Away – Pitt, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech
2026 ACC Football Schedule
Home – Duke, North Carolina, Pitt, Syracuse;
Away – Clemson, Miami, NC State, Wake Forest

Those are fun home slates for 2023 and 24. But 2025 and 26, not so much.

I assume this is based upon the Colonial announcing their 2028 Conference schedule.

Just keep your fingers crossed we don't need to schedule replacements because those become conference games.

Is the contract with Ohio State officially voided or is that still going to happen at some point?

anyone going to that game deserves every discomfort they must face to attend that game and not just those from the opening kickoff to the final tick of the clock (likely in running time because of how badly the team is bleeding from the anus)
in that spirit, this should be a part of the bus seats

three weeknight games is pretty craptacular - especially black friday
which makes me wonder - will they try to red bandana that thanksgiving week game. they've proven in the past they don't give a shit about being anywhere near 9/11

The loss to Holy Cross in mid-September is going to be the final nail in Hafley's future here.

But 2 of them are away games and it is hard to complain with how irrelevant BC football has been the last 15 years. Miami is the only other ACC team with 3 weeknight games (Louisville has 4!).
Home night games: Friday > Saturday > Thursday.

What’s you reasoning?
I wonder about this, too. Unless you live within 5 miles, Friday night traffic is horrible.

The Friday > Saturday > Thursday take is kinda crazy unless you can walk to campus. The traffic is really bad.

But no joke they most certainly could lose to Holy Cross if they have such a poor off-season again. Are the S&C staff religiously watching the players’ form in S&C? Are the coaches committed to building up the players’ strength and power? Are the players being pushed in those workouts? Are the offensive linemen going to be taught actual technique this spring and summer? Are the players going to be given the opportunity to apply their strength gains in full contact practice with actual tackling drills?
We read before the opener last season that Hafley was coaching with an edge, that he was more demanding. Obviously that was false.I’m sure we’ll hear more of the same this off-season from the staff and players. Holy Cross will show us if there’s any truth to this. Even the poorly conditioned late-Bicknell teams waxed Duffner’s best teams because BC was simply too big and strong in the trenches, so that HC couldn’t leverage their talent elsewhere. It would be such a kick in the teeth if this September Holy Cross is the stronger and tougher team, if they overwhelm us on the line of scrimmage so that all the skill players who look so good in shorts can’t do anything because our team doesn’t block and tackle.

Home night games suck unless you are a student but I haven't hit bad traffic since they extended the tailgating beyond 2 hours.

Hopefully, BC will play one game in the Bay Area next year against either Stanford or CAL. If so, I expect to be there.
