Diaco bought a trophy for a "rivalry" game with UCF, UConn football's Twitter posted a picture announcing the game... No one asked UCF.

UCF football responded that they have no involvement in the game.

Official @UCF_Football statement: "UCF did not have any involvement in the creation of a trophy or an annual rivalry game with UConn..."

Hey @UConnFootball, how come 2013 isn't listed on the #CivilConflict trophy?

in all seriousness, how long can that program survive? a couple of more years? i don't care enough to dive deep into their financials but their tv $ looks like a couple of million a year (http://www.cbssports.com/columns/story/ ... ce-options), or about as much as they pay geno.

clearly that program from an interest / performance standpoint is sliding downhill as well. wouldn't be shocked if they're underdogs to nova to start the season

oh forgive me i forgot the b1g invite is in the mail.

they're hemorrhaging money, a recent article in USA Today basically said as much. Yukon, along with Rutgers, are both in the top 5 for subsidies received on a dollar basis, meaning the program can not operate based on the revenue generated (and you can bet the biggest money suck in those figures is from the newest civil conflict member). Total Subsidies mean the sum of students fees, direct and indirect institutional support and state money. The NCAA and others consider such funds "allocated" or everything not generated by the department's athletics functions.

1. I don't see BC?
B) So the subsidy is included in the in the total revenue?
III. Do schools with $0 subsidies not charge students for tickets?

That list is retarded. That's only schools required to respond to open records requests. In other words, it is all state schools.

I'm with Militant on this one, the fake rivalry with ND is the worst.

Evergreen State, UC Santa Cruz, Dartmouth, and the Rhode Island School of Design all have unorthodox mascots: Speedy the Geoduck, Sammy the Banana Slug, Keggy the Keg, and Scrotie the formidable penis and scrotum combo.

I am shocked that Scrotie has not come to light sooner. I believe that Speedy the Geoduck has already appeared on this board.

campion loved him some geoduck. he wasn't as obvious as trolling out scrotie (except while donning his bucket hat and maroon suit)

Or, alternatively, the fart huffers can update us on huffing farts. It may be of note to them that I packed chili for lunch today and I put beans in my chili (bowl of red is boring, sorry Texas).
