The Samoans came into Tempe Saturday night and beat ASU's ass. The Samoans might have the 3rd best team West of the Mississippi River behind only Oregon and Oklahoma.

Glad to see BC recruiting hard at Catholic high school powers--being able to build a cohort of Samoans would be a bonus. Faoa's teammate Zak Yamauchi, with Samoan heritage through both parents, also took an official visit to BC:

“Cal’s Polynesian influence is important to me,” said Yamauchi. “It’s that bond where you can usually connect instantly and having Polys there at Cal would make me feel more at home.”

“I’m just looking for having that connection and that bond,” said Yamauchi. “Being away from home, I want to feel like I’m part of their brotherhood and just having the father/son connection and getting a good education at a school like Cal, Stanford or Boston College.
