pick6pedro {l Wrote}:Endless Mike {l Wrote}:Combining saves and holds makes setup guys worthwhile, and it makes it less of an issues when someone becomes a new closer. The top closers are still the most valuable, but now people don't have to go crazy trying to get some shittacular reliever who just became the closer due to an injury. So that's nice.
Michael,
I understand the impact, but even with increased roster sizes a direct result of the addition, I still don't see the point in clogging a team with RP. Kinda like kickers in football. WTF is the point? It's fantasy for a reason: GET BIG NUMBERS, WIN MONEY! Saves and holds are like kissing your sister's penis.
Pedro,
The roster sizes remain the same and they are no more clogged with relievers than usual. Except now instead of fighting over 30 closers, setup pitchers are equally as valuable so there is more to choose from and you can consider which ones will help your ERA and WHIP instead of just one category. Now people don't have to fight over shitty closers. They can pick and choose from the many relievers that are available on the waiver wire like MEN. For instance, K-Rod just got traded to the Orioles to setup for Jim Johnson and I don't even care because he's still going to get holds so it may not even affect his stats. LIVE FREE.
