pick6pedro {l Wrote}:Don't know where BigBatLickerNick is with this - but the ACC Tourney starts in Greensboro tomorrow. BC is the last (#8) seed so doesn't have much chance to win their group to make the final (which may very well be necessary for an NCAA spot).
Wed - #1 UVA v. #8 BC noon
Thurs - #4 Miami v. #8 BC noon
Fri - #5 FSU v. #8 BC noon
Of course some may remember that 2010 was Fenway's 2nd shot at the tourney after bricking with a "scheduling conflict" for the 2009 event. I don't recall why 2010 was changed as well. FSG sucks - that's probably why.

commavegarage {l Wrote}:Did he really just choose to pinch hit with a guy who has batted in the .150's this year?

How many BC baseball games have you seen this year?

Admittedly, not many. But I can't imagine a guy who's batting average is .150 can be that good.
He's 4-28 this year, with one extra base hit.

You couldn't possibly be qualified to comment on the postseason if you haven't seen most of the regular season. Please prompty leave this thread, you semi-fan. Thanks in advance.
PS: I''m only fucking with you. Sort of.

Baseball = individual game. You can learn a lot about a player through his stats.
Hockey = team game. Stats don't tell you nearly as much about a player. See all-american defensemen Carl Sneep.
commavegarage {l Wrote}:Baseball is certainly much more an individual game than hockey. Stop nitpicking.
bignick33 {l Wrote}:BC has taken a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first on an Anston Double, a sac bunt, and a throwing error by the pitcher, and a ground out. This is unequivocally a must-win.

I looked over some box scores...BC has a 0.00% chance of winning this game against a higher seed.
bignick33 {l Wrote}:Holy shit. BC's bullpen implodes and gives up 5 in the top of the ninth. Then, the offense picks them up with 5 in the bottom of the ninth, capped off with a 2-out 3-run bomb by Spatola. This kid has icewater in his veins. We go to the 10th.
cvilleagle {l Wrote}:That's an insane game. Too bad I was in court and couldn't follow it. Stupid job and all the time it makes me spend doing work.
