Yes, they are. That lineup stinks after the 2-3 hitters. Wacha was lights out, that's your only saving grace. He gets one more start.
Did anyone see Buck stumble through the promo for the BC/Providence hoop game last night? The promo was up for like 5 minutes, and Buck still thinks the game is tonight. He loves Raftery though.
The worst part of this WS is listening to those two STL homers. Functional equivalent of Castiglione's son doing the game with Carlton Fisk.

They don't have a lot of power on the team but everyone with the exception of Jay and Kozma are tough outs. They take good at bats and grind out hits which is fine as long as you string enough of them together. And, Of course, in the postseason the actual numbers are going to be weak due to excellent pitching.
Still not sure how dismissing STL as a shitty team fits your agenda.

Not sure if redsox fans remember this or not but Martinez was originally signed by Boston as Carlos Mattias. However, i believe he was caught lying about his identity so they voided his contract. The cardinals then signed him the following year.
The cardinals bullpen is ridiculous right now.
Basically, as long as the starter can go 6 and keep them in the games (obviously, no small task), the cards have a shot to win most games against most teams.

True, even if it is just to get drunk.
